If you’re drinking at home and can't handle more than a glass without having to spend the next day in bed, rest assured that these wines, when properly stoppered and kept in the fridge, will drink well for up to 3-5 days after being opened, perhaps more. There’s 1 white, 1 orange and 1 red. Each have a real soothing, satisfying finish which works well early in the week when you're still trying to keep yourself in check and avoid that second or third glass.
Romaneaux-destezet, Souhaut Blanc 2018, Rhone (This is an Iconic natural wine producer from the Rhone who makes some of the best syrah on the planet. His gamay is also amazing. This is his white wine made from Viogner and Roussanne. Normally those are two grapes to avoid, having the propensity in the wrong hands to produce nauseatingly perfumed wines which make you feel hungover right from the first sip. This wine is the opposite to that.)
Casa Balaguer, El Carro de la Mata 2019, Valencia (This producer makes some of best value skin contact wines we've come across. This one is made from moscatel aged in clay amphora which allows the wine to breathe slowly as it develops. This is a good thing which people say gives the wine an inner power and assuredness.)
Clos Fantine, Faugeres 2017, Languedoc (A few years back this wine used to be in restaurants everywhere. It’s a great value medium/full bodied smooth red made by two sisters and a brother. The grapes are Mourvèdre, Carignan, Syrah, and Grenache, all delivering deep red flavours and herbs too.)
