Anders Frederik Steen, Like pearls on a string 2022

Grape: Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Grenache Noir, Syrah & Petite Syrah

Region: Valvignères, Ardèche, France

A field blend that was the result of a storm which left a quarter of the grapes left to harvest. Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Grenache Noir, Syrah and Petite Syrah, picked and destemmed by hand, macerated in Sauvignon Blanc juice for a month, then pressed into old casks. The wine is then racked and transferred to demi-muids, where fermentation concludes. The result of three years of ageing is a rugged blend which exclaims elegance and finesse.
