Domaine Padié, Milouise 2019 (Roussillon)
Grapes: Grenache Gris, Grenache blanc, Maccabeu, Carignan blanc, Clairette, Tourbat, Muscat petit grains, Muscat d’Alexandrie
Region: Languedoc-Roussillon
In the rugged hills of the Roussillon, a quite winemaking revolution is taking place. The region is dotted with parcels of old vines capable of producing extraordinary wines. Milouise is Padie's top cuvée named in honour of his grandparents Milou and Louise made from vines that are over 100 years old with exceptionally low yields. The grapes are co-planted and this field blend harkens back to traditional styles of white made before grape varieties were grown separately.
The notes for this wine include pear, white peach and minerals. Richly textured but wonderfully fresh. Plenty of ageing potential.
