Lucy M, Cinquante Nuances de Gris 2021

A 30-year-old Pinot Gris grown over black sandy soils and petrified schist, harvested from Robert Surmann’s vineyard in Totness. The fruit was macerated as whole bunches in 800 L ceramic fermenters and topped up with juice until full, before undergoing carbonic maceration for six months. In the glass, it shows a distinct amber hue, with structured skin contact and notes of tangerine and ambergris.
