Grape: Merlot, Pignolo

Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy

Pinot Noir and Pignolo, harvested from the terraced vineyards in Collio, grown over ponca soils (from prehistoric sea bed, clay and sandstone). The grapes spend 10-15 days on the skins, before 15-18 months of aging in large oak casks. Rich yet equally fresh with wild red berries, soft black fruits and spice on the palate, with great structure. Pure elegance.
